Female foeticide remains a significant issue in India, particularly in the state of Haryana. Female foeticide refers to the practice of aborting a fetus because it is female. This practice stems from deep-seated cultural and societal biases favoring male children. In India, and notably in Haryana, this has led to a skewed sex ratio, causing severe social and demographic issues.
This problem affects millions, rooted deeply in our history and culture.
I aim to spread awareness about this problem and hopefully open people's eyes to this injustice.
Introducing Empowered Existence, a recent project focused on female feticide awareness. This program works in close collaboration with gynaecologists to provide seminars and webinars for the public aiming to raise awareness about the ongoing issue.
